EVENT FACILITATOR - Over the past 20 years, Paul de Brem has moderated more than 600 conferences and debates in French and English for clients as diverse as the CNRS, Pfizer, Procter & Gamble, the Île-de-France Region, Inserm, EDF, Sanofi, the Pasteur Institute, the Curie Institute, CNES, the Ministry of Research, AstraZeneca, and others.
He chaired a two-day ministerial conference in English on higher education with 60 ministers from four continents. He also chaired the World Chemistry Congress, which was attended by 2,500 people. A clinician-researcher, Professor Chiche is currently head of the adult intensive care unit at the CHUV (Lausanne University Hospital) and full professor at the University of Lausanne, following extensive hospital and university experience in Paris, notably at Cochin Hospital and the Cochin Institute.
His research focuses particularly on severe infections, sepsis, and acute respiratory failure, closely examining the realities of critical care and clinical decision-making.
As a former president of the European Society of Intensive Care Medicine, he also brings a European and highly practical perspective to the transformation of healthcare, particularly through the structuring and leveraging of data, as well as the rise of artificial intelligence in health.
In this context, he created and chairs the 101 Fund (One O One), the first endowment fund that aims to advance intensive care through innovative research and education projects by deploying data analysis tools and artificial intelligence algorithms within an international network of services. resuscitation.

An engineer by training, he designs scalable QMS, PMS, and submission dossiers, applies machine learning to reduce documentation effort, and helps teams generate robust evidence for faster and more reliable approvals.

Julien then joined GMED, a notified body in France, where he served as Lead Auditor for MDSAP, CE marking, ISO 13485, and ISO 9001.
He also reviewed products, particularly active devices and imaging software, and trained professionals on the IEC 62304 standard.
Additionally, he managed certification projects for key accounts.

Regulatory Lead, Regulatory Services @ BSIDr Purvi Patel, PhD CEng, is a Regulatory Lead at BSI who speaks about how the Medical Device Regulation (MDR) is changing the regulatory landscape for medical devices.
Currently, she is working on CE schemes and the implementation of UKCA legislation at BSI.
Purvi has an extensive background in conducting BSI technical reviews under the MDR/Medical Device Directive (MDD) for orthopaedic and dental devices.
Prior to joining BSI over 8 years ago, Purvi has held various positions in the medical devices industry working at Zimmer Biomet, Renishaw plc, Surgicraft Ltd. and Finsbury Orthopaedics Ltd.
